Whitener

Whitener is otherwise known as an abrasive polisher. This is a technique used to remove a layer of bran from rice by polishing using rough stones. The rice is gently passed through the abrasion chamber between specific silicon carbide stones and, by this process, the brown rice turns white. The removed bran is collected by the attached external suction blower.

Silicon Carbide Stones

Green silicon carbide and Black Silicon carbide are used. Stones are used based on type of processed rice

Sieves

Hardened Steel is used for longer self-life, and multiple range of perforation for multiple combinations.

Top-to-bottom Flow

The machine is designed to feed rice from top. Bran is removed in the middle and collected at the bottom

Magnehelic Gauge

Maintaining proper chamber pressure is one of the key features to be ensured at the time of machine startup

How many stones does whitener have?
Whitener comes with 6 stones in total.
No, whitener itself has various components with various critical parameters, for each variety of rice the dimensions or the grade of components may vary.
No, orange engineers will assess the type of rice and stone to be used in your rice mill and we will give you the best solution, you don’t have to worry about it.
Greenstone is green silicon carbide and Black stone is Black Silicon Carbide. Not all type of processed rice needs to be used with high-grade stone Physical Properties: Green silicon carbide is of higher purity than black silicon carbide. Green silicon carbide is sharp and friable, which makes it a good abrasive. It is the hardest of the conventional abrasives and it's a bit high in cost.
Yes, husk has more silica content on its layer, which acts as additive abrasive material making rice evenly polished.
