Pneumatic Sheller

Sheller is a machine with a compact structure with high efficiency by removing the husk layer which is present on the rice. It works with the concept of Rubber-Grain- Rubber frictional contact, successfully removing the husk without much damage to the grain.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size of rubber roller is used in Sheller?

The size of the rubber roller varies depending upon the mill capacity of a rice mill. We use 10x10 and 12x10 rubbers

How long rubber roller last?

Since rubbers are soft in nature, they wear too often. Moreover, the life of rubber cannot be specified approximately. Preceding processes such as destoning and cleaning are done properly

How does sheller work?

Sheller is a pneumatic (Air) operated Rubber roller, two rubber running at different RPM from each other. This difference shells the husk from the paddy when the paddy gets in between two rubber rolls

How does Husk Separator Work?

The husk separator follows an ancient method of separating husk from rice. This is done by blowing air adjacent to it, where lighter particles (husk) move away with air and heavier particle (rice) stays in the same place.

How many pneumatic actuators are used? Are they necessary?

There are 2 pneumatically controlled actuators used. Yes, both are important to firmly control the applied pressure evenly even at high tonnage fluctuation for better performance. The force is applied from each side of rubber called the forward and reverse pressure.

What are the other names used for calling sheller and Husk separator?

Sheller is otherwise called DE-HUSKER and Husk separator is otherwise called HUSKER or HUSK ASPIRATOR.
