Raw Paddy Dryer

Raw Paddy Dryer

A Raw Paddy Dryer is designed to reduce the moisture content of freshly harvested raw paddy before milling. Proper drying is essential to maintain grain quality, prevent fungal growth, and ensure safe storage. The dryer uses controlled hot air circulation to remove moisture evenly while minimizing grain damage and breakage.

The dryer mainly consists of important components such as V-Ports, Feed Roller, and Heat Exchanger. V-Ports distribute heat evenly through the paddy for uniform drying. The feed roller controls the movement of paddy inside the dryer, while the heat exchanger with air ducts and blowers ensures efficient heat transfer with minimal energy loss.

Raw paddy dryers are available in batch type (circulation type) and continuous type models to suit different rice mill capacities. These dryers can operate using steam heating systems or furnaces fueled by husk or wood, providing an efficient and reliable drying solution for rice mill operations.

Boiled Paddy Dryer
Boiled Paddy Dryer

A Boiled Paddy Dryer is specially designed to dry paddy after the parboiling process. During parboiling, paddy absorbs water and requires proper drying to reduce moisture before milling. The dryer helps achieve uniform moisture reduction, which improves rice quality and reduces grain breakage during the milling process.

The dryer works by circulating controlled hot air through the boiled paddy to remove excess moisture efficiently. Key components such as V-Ports, Feed Rollers, and Heat Exchangers ensure proper heat distribution and consistent drying throughout the grain.

Boiled paddy dryers are commonly used in parboiled rice mills and are available in batch type and continuous type designs. They can be powered using steam systems or furnaces fueled by husk or wood, making them energy-efficient and suitable for large-scale rice processing operations.

Vertical Cooler
Vertical Cooler

A Vertical Cooler is used in rice mills to cool hot paddy after the drying process. After passing through a dryer, paddy temperature remains high, which can affect grain quality during storage. The vertical cooler helps reduce the temperature by passing ambient air through the hot paddy, ensuring safe handling and storage.

The machine works by allowing paddy to move slowly through a vertical cooling chamber while air flows evenly through the grain layers. This process removes excess heat and stabilizes the moisture content without damaging the grains.

Vertical coolers are widely used in modern rice mills because they improve grain quality, reduce breakage during milling, and enhance the overall efficiency of the drying system. The equipment is designed for continuous operation with low power consumption and minimal maintenance.

Bed Cooler
Bed Cooler

A Bed Cooler is used in rice mills to cool paddy after the drying process. When paddy comes out of the dryer, it usually has a high temperature, which can affect grain quality and storage. The bed cooler helps reduce the temperature by passing cool air through the layer of hot paddy, ensuring safe handling and better grain quality.

The machine works by spreading the paddy evenly on a cooling bed while ambient air is blown through the grain layer using blowers. This airflow removes excess heat from the paddy and stabilizes the grain before it moves to the next processing stage.

Bed coolers are widely used in rice mills because they help improve milling efficiency, reduce grain breakage, and maintain consistent rice quality. The system is designed for efficient cooling, low power consumption, and reliable operation in modern grain processing plants.
